Jefferson's Media Center has received over 5,000 donated items for our Used Book Sale, which will run from May 9th thru the 13th. Proceeds from the sale will go to buy new books and materials for our Media Center. We are selling hardback and paperback books for all ages as well as DVDs, CDs, and video games. The prices are extremely low - in the $1-$3 range, with many like-new items as well as older classics. Students will have a chance to visit the sale with their language arts teacher. Parents and their guests are also very welcome - please be sure to first sign in at the school office. Sale hours are 7am until 3pm Monday-Friday. We will also be open from 6:00 until 8:30pm on Thursday, May 12, the night of Jefferson's Talent Show. IMPORTANT NOTE: we only accept cash or checks. You are guaranteed to find some tremendous bargains at this sale - now's the time to stock up for all your summer reading needs.

Sports Banquet: The Sports Banquet is Thursday, May 26 at 5:30pm at Mt. Tabor UMC. Tickets are $10 per adult and $5 per athlete/child and must be purchased in advance by Friday, May 20th. Flyers are being sent home and are also available in the front office.

Athletes in Action Pictures Needed: The banquet committee is asking parents to send in pictures of TJMS athletes in action no later than Monday, May 9th. Pictures need to be in digital JPEG format on flash drive or disk. Please label with student's name and phone number if you want the flash drive or disk back.

Current 8th grade students inducted into the NJHS last April (2015) have 5 hours of community service due by Wednesday, May 11. This is part of the NJHS yearly requirement. Members failing to submit these required hours cannot be recognized as an NJHS member at the 8th grade Honors Ceremony. Late hours will not be accepted. Forms are available in the Counseling Center or on the TJMS Counseling Center webpage under important documents/resources. Crosby Scholars hours can also count for NJHS, but must be submitted on an NJHS form. Contact Mrs. Smith in the Counseling Center if you have questions.

Summer workouts will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30-7pm and Wednesdays at 6pm. (no summer workouts week of July 4th and July 18th). Tryouts are Monday, August 1st through Thursday, August 4th at both 6am and 6pm.
UNC-G Team Camp: July 23rd-26th. Open to all prospective Mt. Tabor Boys Soccer players.
