GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Monday, May 6th is a B-Day
The week of May 6th through 10th
is Teacher Appreciation Week!!!

All Theatre
Arts classes have their final performances this week:
8th
grade is Monday, 5/6
7th grade
is Wednesday, 5/8
6th
grade is Thursday, 5/9
This
is a mandatory performance.
Students
need to be at school 30 minutes before their performance time.
Individual
performance times were announced in class.

8th Grade Honors Ceremony
*This is not a
graduation ceremony; all students will be recognized at large (by team) and
those students receiving awards will be recognized individually. All 8th
graders are encouraged to attend. The ceremony typically lasts 1-1.5 hours and
will take place at Wait Chapel on Wake Forest Campus.
Practice:
Monday, June 10
from 9-12 @ Wait Chapel.
Students and 8th
grade staff will travel to Wait Chapel as a group (on activity buses) for
practice the morning of the honors ceremony.
Practice 9 am-11
am for the entire group.
Practice 11 am-12
pm for music students who will be performing.
Ceremony:
Monday, June 10
beginning at 6pm @ Wait Chapel.
Ceremony will
begin at 6 pm. All students should be in line no later than 5:40 pm. Students
performing with a musical group, marshals (to be announced soon), and student
council president & vice president should arrive by 5.
8th Grade celebration:
Monday, June 10
from 12-2 pm @ TJMS on middle field.
More specific
information regarding practice/permission, parking, dress for students, etc.
will be set closer to the date. Contact Mrs. Smith in the Counseling Center if
you have additional questions @ kmsmith2@wsfcs.k12.nc.us or 336-703-4226.

TJMS Food Pantry
The TJMS Food Pantry is open twice a month and available to
any family at TJMS that could use some assistance. No preregistration is
required! Any family that could benefit from the pantry is invited to
come on the second and fourth Saturday of each month 8-10 am.
The pantry will be
open Saturday, May 11 from 8-10 am
and at a special time for
Memorial Day weekend—Friday, May 24 from 3-4 pm.

Yearbooks will be available for purchase
$40.00 cash only (exact change, please)
during the last week of school.

Patriot Pride Incentive Store
Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month students may “cash” in their Patriot Pride
tickets for incentive activities and school
supplies during team lunches. Our PTA parents volunteer at tables outside the
cafeteria in the lobby to help students with turning in their tickets.
