Students interested in working for yearbook, applications are now available for 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Pick up applications on the door of room 105 and room 118, or in the office.

TJMS Picture Day will be September 28th. Look for information coming home in your students Wednesday packet.

Cheerleading tryouts for 7th and 8th graders will be the week of October 3rd. Intramurals will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, tryouts on Friday. You must have a current physical on file to try out. See Mrs. Schwenn for more information.

Save the date on your calendars for the annual Anti-Bully walk happening Saturday, October 8th. Some of out TJMS students will be presenting this year. Make plans to come out and support them!

2016 TJMS PTA Giving Campaign
The one2one Initiative 
On Wednesday, September 21st we are launching the one2one Initiative.  When we succeed, 100% of TJMS classrooms will be one2one digitally enabled.  What does this mean?  For our kids to achieve, we must put a Chromebook in every child’s hand while in EVERY TJMS classroom.   
The TJMS PTA needs ALL TJMS families to support the school, the student(s) and his or her learning environment.   Only with fully digitally enabled classrooms at a one2one ratio will our students be most prepared.
The TJMS PTA is laser focused on funding 21st Century learning.  We need 11 more Chromebook carts each with 30 Chromebooks for EVERY classroom at TJMS to be digitally enabled.  A Chromebook in each child’s hands while in EVERY class gives them a more exciting and in-depth classroom learning experience. 
You can Make a Difference 
50 families contributing $150 to the one2one initiative places a Chromebook cart of 30 devices in one more TJMS classroom. 
550 families contributing $150 to the one2one initiative funds all 11 Chromebook carts we need to have 100% one2one digitally enabled classrooms.  Your support makes a huge difference. 
We ask you to give $150/student enrolled at TJMS.  If you can, stretch to $200/student.  $200 funds one Chromebook. 
Any and all donations help.  Please contribute whatever you are able.
100% of PTA donations go directly towards funding this key TJMS PTA project.

In an effort to minimize classroom disruptions this school year, we will be changing how dropped off lunches and forgotten items are delivered to our students. Lunches - students will be given the opportunity to check the office at their lunch time.  Missing work, forgotten items - will be put into homeroom teachers boxes.

Early Dismissal - If your child has an appointment, etc. and will need to be dismissed from school early, please send a note with your child to the office (at start of day) and we will give them a pass for teachers to dismiss them to the office.

Reminder to tryout for any sports programs at TJMS you must have a current physical, concussion form and proof of insurance on file.
